Halyna Zubchenko (1929-2000) is a Ukrainian artist, monumentalist, public figure. She was born in Kyiv. Studied at the Republican Art School named after T. Shevchenko (1944-1949); Kyiv State Art Institute (1954-1959), where she studied with A. Shovkunenko. She was among the founders of the visual section of the Creative Youth Club of Kyiv (1962-1964). She was a member of the bureau, secretary of the monumental section of the Kyiv Union of Artists. Worked with A. Gorskaya, O. Zalivakha, G. Sevruk, L. Semikina, etc. Author and co-author of many monumental mosaics in Ukraine. An active participant in numerous group and personal exhibitions. The works were included in the collections of the Kolomyia Museum of Folk Art of the Hutsul Region, the Mariupol Art Gallery named after Kuindzhi, Kirovohrad Art Museum, Simferopol Art Museum, Sevastopol Art Gallery, Ivan Honchar Museum, as well as art galleries and private collections of the USA, Canada, Argentina, Japan, Australia, Taiwan, Germany, Croatia.
