Horobets Pavlo (1905-1974) - Ukrainian painter, landscape painter, artist and journalist. Born in Poltava. He studied at the Art Studio of Tsyssa (1922-1926) and in the studio under Burachek (1928-1932). Member of Association of Artists of Red Ukraine (1926). Member of the Union of Artists. Teacher of drawing in art studios. Participants of the Second World War. He participated in numerous regional, republican and all-Union art exhibitions. He was Director of the Poltava Art Museum (1964-1974). His works are kept in museums of Poltava, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Myrhorod, Mykolaiv, Moscow, Tbilisi. Gorobec - is acknowledged master of lyrical landscape and still life.
