Biography of the author
Sargsyan Alexander (born 1953) is an Armenian artist. Born in Echmiadzin, Armenia. Studied at the P. Terlemezyan Art College (1972-1976); St. Petersburg Institute of Arts (1980-1985). Member of the Union of Artists of Armenia (since 1976). Active participant of all-Union and foreign group and solo exhibitions (since 1976). At the all-Union exhibition (Moscow Pavilion of National Achievement) the work "Arpa-Sevan" was awarded a silver medal (1980). At the international exhibition (Thouars, France) the artist's works have repeatedly received the highest award - the "Grand Prix" diploma (1996, 1998, 2003). Decorated the pavilion of the musical program dedicated to the accordion (Tours, France), taught painting and art history at the art school of the city of Tours. The artist's works are in private collections in many countries. Lives and works in Yerevan, Armenia.
