Maksymenko Mykola (1924-2016) - Ukrainian painter, master of landscape and still life. Born in Yaropovychi village, Zhytomyr region. He studied at Mahnitohorsk Art Studio (1941-1942). He took lessons from Hrabar. He was awarded orders and medals. Worked in easel painting, particularly in genres of landscape and still life. People's Artist of Ukraine (1994), winner of the Shevchenko State Prize for series of works "Landscapes of Ukraine" (1994). Lived and worked in Zhytomyr.
