Biography of the author
Maria Kurochka (born 1942) is a Ukrainian artist and ceramist. She was born in the village Pokaliv, Zhytomyr region. She graduated from the Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (1968), where she studied with M. Gladky, B. Horbalyuk, Yu. Laschuk. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1977). She worked at the Lviv Experimental Ceramic and Sculpture Factory (1963-2007). Participant of all-Union (since 1968), personal (1972, 1992, 2003) exhibitions. The works are stored in the National Museum of Ukrainian Folk Decorative Art (Kyiv), the Sumy Art Museum, the Museum of Ethnography and Art Craft (Lviv), the National Museum in Lviv. Lives and works in Lviv.
