Buriak Borys (born 1953) – Ukrainian painter. Born in the village Podvirne in Chernivtsi region. He graduated from the College of Arts named after Ivan Trush (1974); Lviv Academy of Arts (1979). Member of the the National Union of Artists (1987, Lviv organization). Laureate of the NUAU award (1991); scholar of the international competition "New Names" (Moscow, 1992); laureate of the republican exhibition "Art Club" (Khmelnytskyi, 1996), Honored Artist of Ukraine (2004), active member of the Academic Senate of the International Academy of Contemporary Art, Rome (2009). He runs a private drawing school in Lviv. Holds personal exhibitions (1986–1994). Works in the field of easel and monumental painting.
