Biography of the author

Kateryna Lipovka (born 1995) is an architect-artist based in Kyiv, Ukraine. She was born into a family of prominent Ukrainian sculptors. She hold two Master’s degrees - one in Architecture & Arts from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv and the second in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from UCU Business School in Lviv. Over the 8 years, she has worked within both Ukrainian and international art scenes, organising, mentoring, curating, and managing a wide variety of projects, exhibitions, residencies, and the like. As an architect, she draws her inspiration from the shapes and volumes of architecture, the streets planning and the play of light and shadow. Kateryna prefers to work in the style of the urban landscape and the landscape. She is a participant in different art exhibitions and festivals in Ukraine. Her favorite technics are ink and felt-tip pen for clear transmission lines, and watercolor to convey colors and a state of nature.
