Biography of the author
Hubskyi Ihor (1954-2022) was a Ukrainian and Soviet painter. He was born in Kadiivka, Luhansk region, in the family of the artist Ivan Hubskyi. He graduated with honors from Voroshilovgrad Art School (1969-1973). He studied at the Kyiv Art Institute (1973-1979) in the studio of V. Puzyrkov. He studied in graduate school, in creative workshops (1981-1984) with Professor S. Hryhoriev. He participated in national and all-Union (since 1974) and international exhibitions (since 1980). Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1983). The artist's works were sold at auctions of "Cristie's", "Philips". Works are stored in the National Art Museum of Ukraine, Tretyakov Gallery and other museums and private collections in Ukraine, USA, Canada, Sweden.
