Victor Vasarely (1906-1997). The real name is Dege Vasharayi, a French artist, graphic artist and sculptor of Hungarian descent, a leading representative of the "op-art" direction. He studied at the Polodin-Volkman Academy of Arts in Budapest, worked in various French advertising agencies with a painter and graphic artist (1930-1940), and since 1944 - began working in the genre of painting. He received the title of professor at the Graduate School of Applied Arts in Budapest (1969). Laureate of many awards and awards, such as the Art Critics Award, Brussels; Milan Gold Medal; International Painting Award Venezuela (1955), Guggenheim Prize (1964). Grand Prize at the VIII Biennale of Arts in Sao Paulo (1965). Prize at the I International Biennial of Graphics (1966), prize of the Minister of International Affairs of Japan at the IX Tokyo Biennale (1967). 1969 - The first "Golden Palette" at the International Painting Festival (1969) and many others. The Victorian Wazareli Museum operates in the Budapest Palace of Zichi.
