Biography
Minin Roman (born 1981) is a Ukrainian artist, photographer, author of sculptures and installations, and street artist. He was born in the city of Dimitrov, Donetsk region. He graduated from the Kharkiv Art School (2002); Kharkiv Academy of Design and Arts, Department of Monumental Painting, Professor V. Gontarov's workshop (2008). He was awarded the "Talent and Vocation" medal of the World Alliance "Peacemaker" (2009). He is a participant in international art projects and exhibitions, and an organizer of street art festivals. He founded the SMS art and TRANSMONUMENTALISM movements. He is known for his paintings and graphic works on the theme of miners, which have been repeatedly exhibited in various art institutions in Ukraine and the world. He is creating an anthology of miners' life. He lives and works in Kharkiv.
