Biography

Prykhodko Vyacheslav (1940-2011) — Ukrainian painter. Born in Zolotonosha, Poltava region. Graduated from the Uzhhorod State Art and Industrial School (1959, studied with V. Berets, I. Harapko, F. Manayl, Sh. Petka, V. Svyda) and the Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (1965, studied with V. Monastyrsky, I. Sever, I. Skobaly, M. Smirnov). Member of the Ukrainian Union of Artists (since 1973). Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (since 1990). People's Artist of Ukraine (since 2004). Laureate of the Transcarpathian Regional Prize named after Y. Bokshai and A. Erdeli in the field of fine arts (1997). Actively participated in regional, all-Union and foreign exhibitions (since 1968). Lived and worked in Uzhhorod.
