Biography
Vladislav Gabda (born 1961) is a Ukrainian artist. He was born in Uzhhorod, the son of artist Vasyl Gabda. He graduated from the Uzhhorod School of Applied Arts (1980), where he studied with L. Averkiyev. He worked at the Khudozhfond enterprise (Uzhhorod, 1982–1993). Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1993). Participant of numerous art exhibitions (since 1985). Personal exhibitions: Uzhhorod (1992), Užice (Serbia and Montenegro, 1994), Snina (1995–96), Trebishov (1995), Komarno (1999, Slovakia), Königsfeld (Germany, 1997), Mosonmodzárovár (Hungary, 1998). His works are kept in the Transcarpathian Museum of Modern Art, Museum of Contemporary Art (Dunayská Streda, Slovakia). Honored Artist of Ukraine (2009). Laureate of the regional prize in the field of fine arts named after Y. Bokshay and A. Erdeli (2002).
