Biography
Mykola Rapay (1928-2021) was a Ukrainian sculptor and artist. He was born in the village of Novo-Ukrainka. He graduated from the Odessa Art School (1951) and the Kyiv State Art Institute (1958) in the studio of M. Lysenko. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1963). Honoured Artist of Ukraine (1993). Participant in republican, all-Union and international exhibitions. His works are kept in museums in Ukraine and Russia and in private collections in Ukraine and abroad. He lived and worked in Kyiv.
