Biography
Lugovenko Mykola (born 1944) is a Ukrainian artist. He was born in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region. He studied in M. Saryan and the studio at the House of Folk Art in Yerevan (1964-1966); the Nikopol studio (1966-1968) under Ya. Ovcharenko. He worked at a metallurgical plant (1970s). Participant of regional, all-Ukrainian and foreign art exhibitions and plein airs (since 1987). Personal exhibitions in Nikopol (1987-1995), St. Petersburg (1993), Energodar (1994), Kyiv (1996, 1998). Lugovenko's paintings are distinguished by a filigree technique, an amazing sense of space, color, light, the ability to build a composition and perspective. He creates mainly landscapes in a realistic style. Some paintings are kept in museums in Ukraine.
