Biography
Serhiy Lysenko (1921-1982) is a Ukrainian painter. He was born in Horodyshche, Cherkasy Region. He graduated from the Kyiv State Art Institute (1952), where he studied with S. Grigoriev, H. Melikhov, K. Yeleva, and K. Trokhymenko. Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine (since the 1960s). Participant of World War II. He worked in the field of easel painting. He created still lifes, landscapes, thematic paintings in the style of socialist realism. Participated in republican (since 1952), all-Union (since 1958) and foreign (since 1960) exhibitions. Lived and worked in Kyiv.
