Biography
Miminoshvili Giya (1958-2025) – Georgian and Ukrainian master of artistic ceramics, painter, philosopher. Born in the village of Bashi, Georgia. Graduated from the Tbilisi Academy of Arts (1983), Faculty of Decorative and Applied Arts, A. Kakabadze's workshop and Tbilisi Polytechnic Institute (1987), Faculty of Cinema and Photography. Member of the Georgian Artists' Union (since 1985), National State University of Modern and Contemporary Art (1994). Organizer of the Tbilisi creative association "Vardiya Art Group" (1989). Organizer of the creative group "Ananas" (1997, Kyiv). Participant of numerous art exhibitions, open-air exhibitions, competitions and projects in Georgia, Ukraine and abroad (since 1989). Lived and worked in Kyiv and Cherkasy region (since 1993). The works are in the National Museum-Reserve of Ukrainian Pottery (Opishne village), in private collections in Ukraine, Georgia, Italy, Germany, and the USA.
