Ryzhykh Viktor (1933-2021) - Ukrainian painter. Born in Omsk. He graduated from Kyiv Art Institute (1958), where he studied udner W. Puzurkov, H.Melihova, K.Trohymenka. Works in easel painting. Member of the National Union of Artists (1961). Full member of the Academy of Arts of Ukraine. Honored Artist of Ukraine (1980). People's Artist of Ukraine (2003). The works of the master kept in the Tretyakov Gallery, National Museum of Ukrainian Art and many other museums of Ukraine and private collections in Europe. Studio B. Ryzhykh and G. Neledva was a center of "artistic freedom" and opposition at such "informal academies" as workshops F. Manaylo (Uzhhorod), R. Selskyi (Lviv), and in Kiev - House S. Parajanov, workshops A. Horska, V. Zaretsky, I. Grigorieva and Z. Lyerman.
