Biography
Pavlos Antin (1905-1954) - Ukrainian sculptor. Born in the village of Gostinno, Poland. Studied at the Lviv School of Art and Industry (1930-1935) under Y. Stazhynsky. Attended the Art School of O. Novakivsky. After World War II, he moved to the United States. He worked in plaster, terracotta, marble and bronze. He created portraits and figure compositions. Among his famous works: monuments and busts to Taras Shevchenko, Bohdan Khmelnytsky, Danylo and Roman Halytsky, and others. His works are kept in museums of Ukraine and private collections in Europe and the United States. He died in St. Paul, Minnesota.
