Yanev Anatoly Nikitovich (born 1945) - Ukrainian painter. Born in the village. Mitrofanovka, Kirovograd region. He graduated from the painting department of the Kyiv Art Institute (1974), where he studied with T. Golembievskaya and V. Shatalin. Takes part in city, republican and foreign group and personal exhibitions (1978). Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine (since 1988). Worked in Kirovograd art and industrial workshops (1974-1994). He taught at the Kirovograd State Pedagogical University (1994-1996) and at the Kirovograd City Art School (1996-1999). One of the leading artists of the Kirovograd region, a successor to the traditions of Ukrainian classical fine art. Works in the genres of landscape, still life, portrait and thematic painting. Laureate of the Kirovograd Regional Prize in the field of fine arts and art history (2005). By decree of the President of Ukraine, he was awarded the honorary title “Honored Artist of Ukraine” (2013). The artist’s works are presented in museums in Kirovograd, in galleries and private collections in Ukraine, Poland, the USA, the Czech Republic, and Germany.
